Nice day finishing the afternoon with yellowtail. Random strikes on wahoo made the morning while looking for tuna . Tuna were nowhere to be found in the 85 degree water. Start again in the morning with wahoo lures on the troll

Nice day today on the anchor scratching at yellowtail.The warm water has brought in a lot of miscellaneous so there is a lot of stuff you don’t want mixed in. None the less a nice day

Finally got down into an area that had a bunch of Dorado on kelps. Exciting with fish swimming all over in the water. First day of the Phenix rods trip brought some good action. Lots of releasing ,as always you have to be selective on what you keep.Going to see if we can catch yellowtail tonight and tomorrow

The move up to finish off on bluefin has paid off well.Early this morning was good action with the deep drop jigs and slow scratching today with daytime bites flyline sardine

Went up the beach and had yellowtail action that only really lasted until breakfast . Made a couple more anchor jobs for a couple White Sea bass and a few more yellows with plenty of miscellaneous in the mix. Heading up to make a few stops for bait

Had a fun day on the school grade tuna with a mix of dorado and another random wahoo. A majority of the dorado were small but it’s always nice to celebrate the big fish.

First day of the Izorline 7 day (9/3/26) brought good action on school size yellowfin tuna, a few yellowtail and a nice wahoo. Water temps are pretty extreme with 80 degree water being the average. Going to give it another day and see how we end up and see if the bait survives
