Joe Davidson picked off this 213 on the fly line sardine and won the Accurate jack pot for the day. An Accurate Boss 600. Way to go Joe. Bob Michener with his 230 on the Kite. Good job Bobby! Sharks backed off today and we had better success. 24 tuna and a few wahoo. We are all finished here and heading up after dinner. We will report on weather and post Jack Pots tomorrow

Better today with 20 tuna and a few wahoo. A few bigger fish mixed in with Bobby and his 210 and Soda Pop with his 225. Soda Pop wins the Accurate daily jackpot. A nice Accurate Boss 600 reel. High hopes for tomorrow ,hoping that things are on the upswing

Not much yesterday with the tuna. Nothing bigger than 90 pounds and just a little here and a little there. Wahoo definitely helped with scattered strikes. A couple here that are contenders for the troll J.P.

Tough day today with just a couple tuna and a few wahoo Joe Davidson picked off this 218 but nothing else to go with it. We are making al little move and hoping for a little more to work with tomorrow.

We are headed north to San Diego. We wrapped up a great fishing trip yesterday, now it time to do a little work. The guys are breaking down their fishing gear and getting everything stowed. So far its great weather. Chef Mike made a batch of his breakfast fried ride with eggs on top. Another Red Rooster favorite

Today turned out to be our best day of fishing this trip. We caught 29 tuna, most of that over 100 pounds, with 2 over the 200 pound mark. The bite didn’t materialize until the early afternoon but when the fish rolled through they sure were in a biting mood. The kites and balloons were getting bit as fast as we could put them out. Flylining the sardines generated bites but the fish seemed to really want the big baits.
The preferred bait was the live flying fish the the …crew scooped the night before. The flying fish on the kites always seem to generate the most intense crashes. The tunas chase the bait, jumping out of the water after the panicked flying fish often missing and coming back for multiple tries. This has everybody yelling and shouting and really gets people excited.

Jim Ballard edged Ron out of the JP today with a 245 pound tuna.

Wes started us off today with a 191.5 fish on the kite. Accurate ATD80 and the Phenix prototype.

It’s been the typical slow morning here but things are starting to pick up. We just had a flury for 5 fish. Here is a couple of pictures of Ralph Hughes bending at the rail and a victory shot with a great fish.

We had a nice day of fishing today. There was a lot of sign; jumping fish and bird life. We caught 22 tuna most of which were over 100 pound mark with 3 fish over 200 pounds. It turned out to be fun day. We will be here again tomorrow, hopefully the fish want to cooperate.

Bill Moore won the Seeker 6463 rod with the proceeds of the raffle going a marine corps charity Bill Brown won a nice Okuma rail rod.

Still traveling with this great weather. We had our big tuna seminar today along with the L&M raffle. Ralph Hughes won the SKB tackle box and Woody Woodruff walked away with the Okuma rod and reel combo.

We departed San Diego yesterday on our annual Loftus & Martin 15 day trip. The bait was nice and our traveling weather is beautiful. The next couple of days we will have daily seminars and generous raffles.

Choppy weather made for a couple of heart felt losses on the bow but we did have some chances.

Still waiting for some change here. We will keep working at it until things straighten out here. The weather is great and we have plenty of time for things to get better. Larry and John with a couple of fish in the morning.

Hard to get anything started with just a little bit of fish here and there. Certainly potential though. We are going to give it another half day and if no change head outside and try and pick there.

Tough afternoon with a little shot in the evening that was stopped cold by the sharks. We will give it tomorrow and see how it goesA little starter this morning with a dozen of these 70 to 100 pound fish. Nothing bigger yet but we are just getting started. Nice conditions here and good sign so hopefully we can scrape a day together

We left on our annual Larry Brown 16 day fly home trip. We picked up a nice load of bait and then Larry went into his signature raffle. No expense was spared on the big raffle items. Nice fishing on the 70 to 90 pound fish and we had a couple of standouts in the hundred plus pound class in the mix.
Incredible weather and conditions with no sharks!
I don’t know what happened to them but they were gone today

Hard earned fish today. The sharks ate us up starting first thing in the morning and continued to dark.
Sonny Jones dragged a 205 through the sharks and Rocco dragged a 203 through them.
The bread and butter grade was around but no current all day made it hard to fish.
Hopefully we have current tomorrow

We had a nice day of action on this “bread and butter ” grade fish today. Definitely the action we were hoping for. Maybe tomorrow we will see some bigger fish mixed in. The guys had a great time today with this fish

They clamp on the rail and can hold six big outfits each.

We made it out yesterday morning with just a bit of the storm on our tail. Bluefin Jim and Sonny Jones are out with some great giveaways including Pelagic Gear. So far headed south after a great load of bait and the weather is better and better.

We had a tough first day that included battling sharks throughout. We scraped up 8.70 to 85 pound tuna on various spots. The conditions were good so hopefully tomorrow.
We are going to try for bait tonight and give it a go tomorrow

Good afternoon folks. We are headed south on a 15 day Loftus and Martin sponsored trip. The bait situation is the best we have had with great hook baits and some smaller bait mixed in for chum. Lovely weather today for our departure.

Hard work paid off for us today. Great yellow tail fishing for most of the day with plenty of action for everyone. We’re rolling up in beautiful weather and will be at the dock at 0630 in the morning.

Our eta for tomorrow is 0600-0630.

We have been traveling up from the lower banks for the last couple of days. The weather has been phenomenal. We have made stops along the way, trying different spots with mixed results. One high spot delivered some smaller grade yellowtail and a couple others had biting bass. It was nice to break up the traveling with some fishing. We are going to be on the same program for today, our last day of this trip.

Today was definitely a different fishing day than yesterday. We didn’t get the good south current we needed until late. The school grade fish were boiling next to the boat all day and were a source of instant action to anybody who dropped down in line test and fished a sardine. We are going to have to leave here and start traveling north tonight. Hopefully we can find some fish up along the coast on the way home.

It took us most of the day today to get to the bank. We saw some interesting sign on the way down; birds, dolphins, flotsam, just no fish. There was decent fish on the bank itself. We hooked a couple of fish and managed to land one cow and one school grade tuna. We are going to try for bait tonight and give it another go tomorrow

After a slow day yesterday we finally got our trip started. There were some wahoo left over in this cooling water and the tuna fishing was very good. This school size fish is very eager to bite and most of the people have close to what they want. We are going to try another drift or two before we head further south.

With the good conditions we still struggled to get something going and picked off another half a dozen fish over a long period of time then took off for the inside. We will arrive after daylight and get started.

We had the conditions we were hoping for and picked off a handful of decent fish up to 170 pounds this morning. Conditions remain great just no fish around right now. The sharks were bad all morning until the fish briefly moved in and then backed off for a little bit.

Conditions were poor all afternoon here today. We had some current for about an hour this morning and then current for half an hour this evening. Picked off a dozen decent fish in the short time we had conditions. We are going to try it again tomorrow and see if there is current.

Good morning folks. We left yesterday on our annual Accurate 15 day fly back from Cabo trip We have a nice load of bait sardine mixed with Caballito leftover from Puerto Vallarta Decent size sardine that should be fine for the trip.  Jack shown here going over the daily jackpots and the huge supply of loaner Accurate gear….Today we are getting things rigged up and on course for the Hurricane Bank.
